As we bid farewell to 2023, we take great pleasure in recounting the extraordinary journey we’ve had at BrainSTEM Learning Canada. This year has been a testament to the unwavering commitment of our community and the exciting strides we’ve made in STEM education.
Highlights of 2023:
1. Expansion of Educational Programs:
We are delighted to share that our educational programs reached new heights, reaching more students than ever across Canada. Our dedication to providing top-tier STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education has empowered young minds to explore, discover, and create.
2. Innovative Learning Platforms:
This year, our commitment to innovation extended beyond curriculum development. In a stride towards sustainability, we took a significant step by recycling our computers and embracing a more eco-friendly approach. We’re excited to share that our learning spaces have been upgraded with state-of-the-art iMac Air laptops and iPads. This transition not only enhances the learning experience for our students but also aligns with our commitment to environmental responsibility.
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce our upcoming initiative to further enhance our robotics programs. We are actively working towards funding the purchase of new Lego Education Spike Prime and Essential robotics kits. These cutting-edge kits will bring a new dimension to our robotics curriculum, providing students with hands-on experience and fostering a deeper understanding of robotics and engineering principles.
Embracing technology, we aim to continually evolve our educational offerings, ensuring that our students have access to the latest tools and resources. This upcoming addition to our robotics programs reflects our dedication to staying at the forefront of STEM education and providing an enriching learning experience for all.
3. Community Outreach Initiatives:
Our commitment to making STEM education accessible to all has been at the forefront of our endeavours. Through community outreach initiatives, we collaborated with schools, local organizations, and communities to create opportunities for hands-on learning and skill development.

Celebrating the success of our students is a true highlight, and we are thrilled to share a few remarkable stories that showcase the diverse impact of BrainSTEM Learning Canada.
Innovative Entrepreneurs:
A young innovator who was inspired to start their own company after participating in our programs. Passionate about animals, a student founded a company specializing in 3D printed dog tags with data matrix codes. These unique tags not only serve as stylish accessories but also link to a website storing vital information about the dogs. This former student’s entrepreneurial spirit and creativity are a testament to the transformative power of STEM education.
Future Software Engineers:
Two dedicated learners in our programs, have spent much of their time delving into the intricacies of software engineering. Their commitment to mastering text-based coding languages has been nothing short of inspiring. As they graduate from our programs, both students are now on the path to pursuing careers in software development. Their journey exemplifies the impact of quality STEM education in shaping the aspirations of our students.
These success stories are just a glimpse into the incredible achievements of our students. Whether sparking entrepreneurial ventures or paving the way for future leaders in software engineering, BrainSTEM Learning Canada is proud to play a role in nurturing the talents and ambitions of the next generation.
Future Engineering & Problem solvers:
The numbers speak volumes. In the past years, BrainSTEM Learning Canada has had the privilege of teaching an average of 1500 students through 560 sessions annually. This widespread impact is a testament to the dedication of our educators, the enthusiasm of our students, and the effectiveness of our STEM programs.
We’ve witnessed countless success stories of students who have not only excelled in their understanding of STEM concepts but have also developed essential skills that will serve them in their future endeavors. From coding wizards to engineering enthusiasts, the achievements of our students inspire us to continue our mission of providing accessible and engaging STEM education.
These numbers reflect not just the quantity but the quality of the educational experiences we provide. Each session is an opportunity for discovery, creativity, and growth, and we are proud to play a role in shaping the future of so many bright minds.
5. Team Growth and Expertise:
Our team expanded significantly, bringing together passionate educators, innovators, and experts in their fields. This growth has enabled us to offer a diverse range of programs and expertise, ensuring that we can meet the unique needs of every learner.
6. Recognition and Awards:
We are honoured to share that BrainSTEM Learning Canada was nominated for the North Vancouver Chambers of Commerce Business Excellence Awards 2023. This nomination is a testament to the dedication and excellence demonstrated by our entire community.
In addition to this, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Canadian government for awarding BrainSTEM Learning Canada the Summer Jobs Grants. This support has been instrumental in our ability to hire and empower university students to teach in our summer camps. It not only provides valuable opportunities for these students but also contributes to the success of our summer programs, enriching the learning experiences of all participants.
This recognition from the Canadian government reaffirms our commitment to providing quality STEM education and our role in fostering the next generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
